“She really enjoyed the club and always looked forward to it, and I just want to really thank the club for always being there for her,” Dean said. “We always tried to keep her happy, and orchids are what made her happy.”
Lani Ng talked about how much Grace loved the around the island orchid buying trips, and naturally that led to her own personal buying trips. Grace often made Dean drive her over to the Hilo side so visit different nurseries.
“Her orchids were her pride and joy,” Lani said. “In the end, she said orchids were the only thing she was worried about. She knew we would all be all right, but she wasn’t so sure we could take care of her orchids.”
